My Goodness, I'm Really Glad I Waited for This

Wait for the man who consistently provides flowers every time the vase is empty

The man who drives an hour to pick up up for a first date, and with a smile on his face, says “it’s worth it”

The man who brings you coffee, every Sunday

The man who plans every date, because he wants you to feel special

The man who shows up to keep you company when you wake up early on a Sunday to serve at church, when it isn’t his weekend to volunteer

The man who is intentional yet open-handed

The man who insists on twirling you every time he sees you, all the while he’s learning to dance

The man who makes your heart incandescently giddy

The man who will wait to kiss you until he knows he loves you, if that’s your heart’s desire

The man who cultivates an easy, fun relationship with you, but not because he avoids the hard things

The man who clearly communicates his feelings for you, and does not want to ever leave you in a state of confusion

The man who prays for you and with you, who speaks blessing and life over you, if that’s your heart’s desire

The man who wants to know your friends and family, because they are important to you

The man who changes his flight without question, when you make a mistake that causes you to sit in the airport for hours

The man who will sit with you in grief, and will celebrate with you in joy

The man who listens to your heart, and responds with his

The man who makes your goals his goals, and creates an environment for you to thrive

The man who tells you you’re remarkable, and believes it with everything in him

The man who serves you and gives out of a generous heart

The man who wants to heal with you, and moves towards that

The man who initiates his love for you, and makes sure to tell you every day

The man who wants to heal with you, and moves towards that

The man who is your heart’s desire, even if you’ve almost lost hope he doesn’t exist

The man who has a heart for you, and a heart for God

I’ve never been a fan of waiting, but my goodness, I’m really glad I waited for this
